About
This is the site to keep everyone posted on the Crack House.
Before you ask, yes it was a crack house.
Now it's a project.
A friend sent us the MLS listing because she thought it was funny.
In the details, well, there actually were no details, but it did mention
"Alleged Crack House". We thought it was funny too.
Then we bought it.
Possession date was October 3rd, 2006. Within a few hours
we had christened the house with wine, cheese, take-out Indian food
and a few good friends.

The hanging of the drywall is progressing nicely on the second floor. Lewis had dedicated at lot of time to it lately, especially since we are having house guests next week. Who on earth would stay here, I know...but Andreas' parents are coming to town for a week as Andreas and I are getting married on the 26th!
The back bedroom...

The bathroom...

The master bedroom is completely drywalled now! We are not going to do any mudding and taping for the time being as it makes an awful mess and dust storm. We decided to just get the drywall up and the subfloor down.
That being said, here is Lewis & Lianne finishing up the subfloor for the master bedroom.

As soon as it was done, we moved out of the back bedroom and into the master bedroom. While we were doing that, Lewis vaccumed the lawn.

Yes, that is correct....there were paint chips left all over the lawn from a winter of junk piled there. It was all recently moved so the paint chips were left and looked awful...so Lewis shop-vac'd them up. It was quite effective!

In one evening, Andreas and Lewis went to our local Home Depot & I think spent the year's budget on drywall and subfloor.
As if that wasn't enough work, then they took a load to the dump as well! My heroes.
